My name is Kiyo To(Pretoria, South Africa), I'm the founder and co-owner of Kanzen Records.
I've been in the industry for around 5 years now and have been working tirelessly to represent
this genre well. My music journey started in Cape Town where Rave and Techno were rife, I then moved to Pretoria where I discovered House. I immediately fell for Deep House, I just loved the fact that there's only timeless tunes and that you can meditate to it.
I started as a fan then went on to Djing and a bit of production, I then started playing at various
clubs and events. I then started to save my sessions on my website and with that a new world started opened up where many radio interviews an several guest mixes were then done by me. I currently host two radio shows, one is on Chill Out Radio titled Switakuvavisa and the other is on SSRadiouk titled Kanzen Times.
The records label acquired distribution rights last year so we have been hard on building it and
are learning more and more about the industry. The reception that we have received from our tracks have been both surprising and awesome. Artists like Ralf Gum, Vinny Da Vinci and a few others have praised our work and have featured our tracks on their monthly top ten tracks lists. We have signed enough artists to diversify our styles.
I've been influenced by so many and still have goose bumps when I encounter great talents.
You one of the people who inspire me as you have kept it going on for as long as you have.
The mix is a true reflection of what I love about this genre, timeless classics....
